Emergency Grant Writing Support
ZELDA is excited to announce our participation in the wonderful Covid artists support initiative UK Artist Grant Writing Support, a network of artists, curators and producers working in contemporary arts organisations, who are coming together to provide in-kind support to artists requiring help with emergency grant applications. .
We recognise that artists in our communities encounter barriers in accessing grant support, and that the skills and experience generating applications for funders and stakeholders are often disproportionately held by producing staff within organisations. This is a callout for artists who feel that they need feedback on their application as part of the grant writing process. Together we will offer feedback on application drafts to those who feel they need some extra support. We particularly welcome requests from those who are underrepresented within the arts and face multiple barriers, in particular BIPOC and LGBTQI+. .
UK Artist Grant Writing Support will be providing support over the next eight weeks, and hope to help as many people as possible. The original working group is comprised of the following people, with more professionals contributing support since the original announcement:
Mary Cork, Founder at ZELDA @cork_mary
Eoin Dara, Head of Exhibitions at Dundee Contemporary Arts @eoindara
Edward Gillman, Director at Auto Italia @edward__gillman
